Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Operating License No. NPF-12 Modification to Technical Specification Change Request-Pressurizer Safety Valve Gentlemen:
A. phone conversation between representatives of the Nuclear Licensing Department, Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) and Messrs.. Jack Hayes and Gary Hammer of. the NRC was held on July 13, 1990.
As a result, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G is submitting the attached These pages) are to replace-the respective Technical Specification pages.
pages included in a previously submitted Technical Specification Change Request (the May 16, 1990, submittal requesting a change in pressurizer code safety valve setpoint tolerance and Mode 3 exception).
Messrs. Hayes and Hammer stated that in-'their opinion the semantics. of.-the change to Surveillance Requirement 4.4.2.1 and the note' referenced in. Specification 3.4.2.2 (denoted by.the "#" symbol) of the submittal could lead to confusion.
They suggested revising the statements to read as-shown on the attached '
pages.
