SUMMARY
,
Scope:
j
i
This routine, announced inspection was conducted in the area of the Physical
!'
Security Program for Power Reactors. Specific areas evaluated were:
Management Support; Security Program Plans; Protected and Vital Area Barriers,
Detection Aids and Assessment Aids; Protected and Vital Area-Package,
Personnel and Vehicle Access Controls;' Alarm Stations and Communications;
't
Power Supply; Testing, Maintenance and Compensatory Measures; and Security
Training and Qualifications.
Results:
In the areas inspected, two citable violations and two non-citable violations
i
were identified.
i
The two cited violations involved a testing commitment not being met for
security related equipment (see Paragraph 2h), and the corrective actions of
previous non-cited violations not preventing reoccurrence of personnel access
control procedural violations (see Paragraph 2f). The non-cited violations
f
found pertain to vehicle access control (see Paragraph 2f). Otherwise, the
licensee continues to provide appropriate security for the vital resources of
this facility. Again, noteworthy was the professionalism of the security
,
training personnel and program, security force personnel and security
management.
