l The United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has granted the request of Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (the licensee) to withdraw its November 1, 1988, application for proposed amendment to Facility Operating License No. DPR-69 for the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Unit i
No. 2, located in Calvert County, Maryland.
The amendment request was to shift the minimum pressurization temperature t
-(MPT)between530and20 psia.ontheUnit'sheatupandcooldowncurves. The minimum reactor vessel flange bolt-up temperature would have been revised from the existing TS limit of 70'F to 90'F. This shift reflects the actual limiting Nil Ductility Transition Temperature for the Unit 2 reactor vessel based on the material properties of the vessel flange.
