SAFETY EVALUATION OF A WELD OVERLAY REPAIR OF A RECIRCULATION PIPING i
By letter dated April 30, 1993, as supplemented August 27, 1993, Commonwealth Edison Company (CECO) requested approval of its repair of weld 02C-F7 in the piping of the recirculation system in accordance with the guidance in Generic Letter 88-01, "NRC Position on Intergranular Stress Corrosion Cracking (IGSCC) in BWR Austenitic Stainless Steel Piping."
We have completed our evaluation of your request, and concluded that the l
proposed repair is acceptable and in conformance with the generic letter. Our safety evaluation is enclosed.
This completes our final action as discussed 1
in our letter of May 24, 1993, on the same subject.
