By ' letter dated January 21, 1987, you applied for. an amendment to Facility 0)erating Licenses DPR-44 and DPR-56. The proposed change would have modified i- tie facility Technical Specifications pertaining to the filing of semi-amual effluent' reports and e reporting requirement for loss of shutdown margin events.

The application: requested changes to the reportir.g requirements of the Peach '

Bottom-technical specifications and requested a related exemption from 10 CFR

• 50.36a to permit a 30 day-extension for the filing of. semi-annual effluent- ,

reports. Subsequently, by letter dated October 16, 1990, you withdrew the~  :

amendment request. Licensee efforts, subsequent to the filing of the 1987 submittal, resulted.in streamlined processes for collecting data, obtaining sample analyses results, and preparing the semi-annual effluent report. The license: concluded that.a 30 day extension to the reporting requirement was no

_ longer-necessary. .
