Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant MD Routes 2 and 4 - Post Office Box 1535 < Lusby, Maryland 20657 i Gentlemen: Subject: -NRC Region I Resident Inspection Report Nos. 50-317/90-23 and 50-318/90-23 (August 12, 1990, to September 15,1990) This report transmits the findings of the routine resident inspection conducted at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. At the conclusion of the inspec- l tion, these findings were discussed with Mr. Denton of your staff. 1 Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspec- tion Report which is- enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the - inspection' consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative i records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors. l The controlled -plant drawing deficiencies discussed in this. report had been identified ~ as, a concern both in your Unit 1 Startup Assessment Report, dated May 29, 1990, and in NRC Inspection Report 50-317/90-08 and 50-318/90-08, dated - June 4, 1990. Our review of this issue indicates that your ef forts to . date have not been fully successful. We encourage your continued attention to this ' matter.
