CRYSTAL RIVER UNIT 3 - SQUG-GIP SEISMIC UPGRADE (TAC NO. M81843) i The licensee's letter of July 18, 1991, stated its plans to utilize experience data to verify the seismic adequacy of replacement components within the scope i
of the " Class of 20" equipment listed in Table 3-1 of Seismic Qualification Utility Group (SQUG) Generic Implementation Procedure (GIP) for Seismic veritiation of Nuclear Plant Equipment, Revision 2, dated August 1990.
I Since that ;etter, the staff has issued its Safety Evaluation of the GIP, and i
the licensee has submitted its plant-specific procedure for the resolution of Generic Issue A-46 which deviates from the GIP. That procedure is under review, and is expected to be completed in the near future.
Resolution of A-46 for Crystal River Unit 3 will subsume any response to the licensee's

letter of July 18, 1991, and no separate response to that letter is required.
