ENCLOSURE REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION UNIT 1 CERTIFIED FUEL HANDLERS TRAINING PROGRAM The following information is requested to complete the review of the certified fuel handlers training program for Dresden Nuclear Power Station Unit 1:
1.
Which person or group of persons has responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the support systems associated with the Unit 1 spent fuel storage pool?
2.
What training do the personnel identified in question 1 receive related to Unit I spent fuel storage pool abnormal / emergency operations and procedures?
3.
Certified Fuel Handlers are normally former licensed senior reactor operators (SRO) or former reactor operators that have completed a certified fuel handler training program.
Persons that satisfactorily complete a certified fuel handler training program are authorized to e
supervise fuel movements as well as move fuel. What type of certification
.i will persons that complete the Dresden Unit I fuel handler training program submitted July 2, 1993 receive? Will these personnel be authorized to supervise the movement of fuel or will these personnel only be authorized to move fuel under the supervision of a licensed senior reactor operator limited to fuel handling (SR0-L) or an SRO?

If fuel handlers completing the submitted training program are only authorized to move fuel under the supervision of an SRO-L or an SRO, what training do the supervisors receive on handling Unit 1 fuel and on the Unit I spent fuel storage pool support systems prior to supervising Unit 1 fuel movements?
