REDUCED MEASURED MINIMUM REACTOR COOLANT SYSTEM FLOW TROJAN NUCLEAR PLANT (TAC NO. 72487) u The NRC staff has-reviewed your submittal dated June 30, 1990, regarding minimum measured reactor; coolant system flow at Trojan Nuclear Plant. _Your submittal provides an analysis performed by Westinghouse that supports a minimum measured flow of 368,000 gpm with no change to the Technical Specifications.
We understand that a measured minimum flow of 368,000 gpm will be demonstrated.
at 90 percent power before ascending to 100 percent power.
A flow rate of 368,000 gpm will again be demonstrated at 100 percent power.
If this rate cannot be demonstrated at 100 percent power, appropriate actions will be taken as described-in your submittal of June 30, 1990.
A new measured minimum flow limit for the reactor coolant system flow will be reflected in a proposed change to the Technical Specifications to be submitted by July 13, 1990.'
