During a recent NRC visit to review the Division's materials agreement activities,wenotedanuderofshortcoming<sthatraiseconcernsabout the effectiveness of the program. A copy o our informal visit report is attached for yobr information and attention.
These short visits between routine reviews are intended to let the State and NRC
- touch base" on current activities and issues. Although it is not our practice to formally transmit to the State the results of these visits, the seriousness of the noted concerns prompt me to send a copy of our report to you now.
Our next full review of Nebrrska's Agreement materials program is planned for this coming summer. Hopefully, this early notification of our concerns will stimulate the State to undertake corrective measures before the tine of the review.
