Beaver Valley Power Station, Unit No. L Docket No. 50-334, License No. DPR-66 NUREG-0737, Item II.B.3; Post Accident Sampling Capability Post Implementation Review Centlemen:

Your letter of June 30, 1982 identified the Staff's intention to conduct a post-implementation review of NUREG-0737 item II.B.3, Post Accident Sampling Capability. It was your request that we provide a schedule for responding to Attachment No. L of your letter which contained the NUREG criteria and the Staf f's guidelines which will be used during their post-implementation review. We are to respond by documenting how we have satisfied the clarification items listed in NUREG-0737 item II.B.3. This information was requested within 20 days of receipt of your letter.

Records which document compliance with the original NUREG-0737 requirements are available in the plant records system. Clarifications to each specific II.B.3 item in Attachment No. 1 of your June 30, 1982 letter contained several apparently new requirements being imposed by the Staff. These new requirements do not appear in the previously documented design requirements as referenced by NUREG-0737 item II.B.3 and has required significant additional research to provide a complete response.

We therefore are requesting an extension until August 3L, L982 for responding to your request.

Very truly yours, J. J. Carey Vice President, Nuc lea r ON-l!
