Status of Seabrook Licensing Review On June 17, 1982, your repres'entatives, !!r. J. DeVincentis and tir. A.
Legendre, met with the NRC Division of Licensing (DL) to review the current progress of the Seabrook safety review. The results of the meeting are as follows:

The NRC staff had met the scheduled date for preparation of a draft SER. A review of the draft indicated there is a large number of open items that require additional information from the applicant.
The degree of incompleteness is such that the draft, in its present form, does not serve its intended purpose of aiding the review pro-cess by providing a manageable summary of open items. Therefore, forwarding the draft to y'ou has been rescheduled for July 30, 1982 to provide additional time to close open items.

The open items will be forwarded to you in the fonn of Requests for Additional Information (RAIs). These requests will provide the basis for meetings in the' near future in which the majority of open items are to be closed. 'In the meantime, your staff will continue to provide answers to existing RAIs that are still open.
3.
The NRC staff is considering making adjustments to the remainder of the application review schedule. This follows earlier discussions with your staff regarding the status of critical path construction progress and a related letter to you from Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut.
