Inspection Report 50-309/82-05 dated May 28, 1982 c) Meeting at NRC Offices June 2, 1982 I received a draft copy of report 50-309/82-05 on June 1 and was not prepared to discuss all items at the Management Conference held at your headquarters the next day.
Therefore, I was not able to be as responsive as I would have preferred.
Several of the items could benefit from further research, accretion of information and a fuller explanation on our part.
We would appreciate the opportunity to respond to some of the findings in the inspection. We plan to provide the response within 30 days of receipt of the official report on June 3,1982 and request that you withhold Report 82-05 from public disclosure pending this response. We appreciate your consideration.
We shall be happy to meet with you to discuss the matter after you have had an opportunity to review our response. At that meeting we will be prepared to detail the corrective actions we have taken to resolve the general concerns you expressed at the meeting.
