Appendix NOTICE OF VIOLATION Public Service of Indiana License Nos. CPRP-170; CPRP-171 As a result of the inspection conducted on May 17-21, 1982, and in accord-ance with the NRC Enforcement Policy, 47 FR 9987 (March 9, 1982), the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 50, Appendix B, Criterion V, states in part, " Activities affecting quality shall be prescribed by documented instructions, procedures, or drawings, of a type appropriate to the circumstances. . ." Marble Hill PSAR Chapter 17, dated April 18, 1980, Section 1.2.3, commits the licensee to Regulatory Guide 1.33 and endorses standard ANSI N45.2.3-1973. ANSI N45.2.3-1973, Paragraph 3.2.3, requires procedures and instructions for fire protection and prevention.
Contrary to the above, the inspector found that the licensee did not have adequate procedures or instructions for fire prevention and fire protection activities.
This is a Severity Level V violation (Supplement II).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are required to submit to this of fice within thirty days of the date of this Notice a written state-ment or explanation in reply, including for each item of noncompliance:
(1) corrective action taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective action to be taken to avoid further noncompliance; and (3) the date when full com-pliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your
- response time for good cause shown.
