Dear Administrative Judges:

- Pursuant'to the Licensing Board's inquiries at the May hearings (Tr.1771),
please be advised that Staff intends to have Mr. Raymond Gonzales introduce his previously filed testimony during the hearings scheduled to conraence on 1
June 22, 1982, but Staff does not presently contemplate offering rebuttal testimony with respect to the presentation of other witnesses.
To accommodate requests made at the May 28, 1982 hearing (Tr. 1772-1778),
. a Staff will also make available Mr. Gonzales and Mr. Emanuel Licitra to answer questions regarding the present status of Applicant's coranitments with respect to the Palo Verde ultimate heat sink. As we stated during the hearing, Mr. Licitra is the Palo Verde project manager. A copy of Mr. Licitra's professional qualifications is attached hereto.
At this time we are also sending the Licensing Board members a copy of Supplement No. 2 to the Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station, Units 1, 2, and 3, Safety Evaluation Report. Copies of this supplement have previously been sent to the other parties in this proceeding on May 17, 1982.
