Applicant also plans to offer, as its Exhibit No. 8, a memorandum dated March 26, 1981 to William J. Dircks, NRC Executive Director for Operations, from Samuel J. Chilk, NRC Secretary. The parties have not yet completed discussions on stipulating to its admiesibility.

Copies of Applicant Exhibit Nos. 1 through 5 were provided to the Board by letter dated March 10, 1982, and have previously been provided to counsel for the parties. (Exhibit No. 4 was included in Appendix B to Exhibit No. 1, the onsite emergency plan.) I am herewith enclosing copies of Applicant Exhibit Nos. 6, 7, and 8.

With respect to Contention 8/9, Applicant intends to present four rebuttal witnesses. Two of those witnesses will be Dr. Mauro and Dr. Hamilton, who have previously appeared and whose rebut-tal testimony will be oral. The remaining two rebuttal witnesses will be Dr. George B. Hutchison and Dr. Jacob I. Fabrikant, who have not previously appeared, and whose rebuttal testimony and curriculum vitae are enclosed.

Counsel for the parties have conferred and agreed that rebuttal testimony on Contention 8/9 should be presented on Monday, May 10. Applicant's witnesses have been aavised of this schedule and are available on that date. A letter to the Board describing further scheduling agreements for the two-week hearing schedule will be forthcoming.
