MEMORAtlDUM FOR: Docket File flo.
99900345 FROM:
D. E. Whitesell, Chief, CSI, VIB
SUBJECT:
IflFORMATION REQUEST RE:
HAYWARD-TYLER PUMP COMPANY On June 26, 1980, in response to a telephoned request of Mr. Steve Kent, Congressional Affairs; Ms. Diane Slayton, a staff member of a Vermont Congressman, wa
__itacted by phone (FTS 832-6732) concerning the subject.
Ms Slayton requested a copy of the inspection report documenting the results of NRC investigation of Mr. David Deslauriers allegations con-cerning Hayward-Tyler Pump Company (HTPC), Burlington, Vermont (Report No.
99900345/80-01), and was informed that a copy of this report was being sent by IE:HQS, to Mr. Kent.
She agreed that this would satisfy her needs.
Ms. Slayton did not have any substantive additional allegations concerning HTPC, but did express an interest in the NRC disposition of Mr. David Deslauriers allegation concerning the HTPC.
It was explained that most of the allegations were under the jurisdiction of the State Industrial Safety Code, and/or the jurisdiction of OSHA, and the four which were of interest of NRC, could not be substantiated as being applicable to the nuclear work being processed during this time frame.
