The subject Telex (copy attached) was sent to me by F. Reisch of the Swedish Nuclear Power Inspectorate for infomation. Mr. Reisch and I are involved in international I4C standard development under the IEC.
The information is significant and relevant to our review of the McGuire request for continued operation at power levels up to 751. Apparently the infomation they have collected has cast doubt on cause of t4be wear in the SG pre-heater section and as a consequence has resulted in their recoamendation to operate Ringhals-3 at 401 power.
G. Lainas' memo to you dated March 18, 1982, provided you with information he obtained in a telecon from JENS regarding Alnerar. He indicated that Westinghouse has the Almaraz datt and thus it should be made available for our usa in review of McGuire. This would also be true for the Ringhals-3 data.
