APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Georgia Power Docket Nos. 50-321 & 50-366 E.1. Hatch I & II License Nos. OPR-57 & NPF-5 As a result of the inspection conducted on February 22-26, 1982, and in accord-ance with the Interim Enforcement Policy, 45 FR 66754 (October 7, 1980), the following violation was identified.
Environmental Technical Specification 5.6 requires detailed written procedures, including applicable check lists and instructions, shall be prepared and followed for all activities involved in implementing the environmental technical specifications.
Licensee Procedure HNP-7650 requires all data and results generated at the plant site be reviewed in a timely manner.
Contrary to the above, licensee procedure HNP-7650 was not adhered to in that numerous data sheets were not reviewed for one and two months. In one case a review of a data sheet was not made for one year.
This is a Severity Level 5 Violation (Supplement IV).
Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CFR 2.201, you are hereby required to submit to this office within thirty days of the date of this Notice, a written statement or explanation in reply, including: (1) admission or denial of the alleged viola-tions; (2) the reasons for the violations if admitted; (3) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (4) corrective steps which will be taken to avoic further violations; and (5) the date when full compliance will be achieved. Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause shown.
