By our letter dated April 29,1982 we provided our approval of your August 3,1981 response to NRC Generic Letter 81-01, " Qualifications of Inspection, Examination. Testing and Audit Personnel". As a result of subsequent conversations with menbers of your staff, we believe that clarification of our April 29,1932 letter is appropriate.
In our April 29, 1982 letter, we concluded that your commitment to meet the requirements of Regulatory Guide 1.58, Revision 1 (Regulatory Positions C.5, 6, 7, 8 and 10) and. Regulatory Guide 1.146 is acceptable.
As part of our review, we had also considered the neans of implementation of these regulatory requirements as described in your letter of August 3, 1981, and found these means to be acceptable. We, therefore, reaffirm the acceptabilit;y of your August 3,1981 response to NRC Generic Letter 81-01.
