This refers to the routine safety inspection conducted by Mr. D. J. Burke of this
of fice on March 1-31, 1982, of activities authorized by NRC Operating License
Nos. DPR-32 and DPR-37 for the Surry facility and to the discussion of our
findings held with Mr. J. L. Wilson, Sta+. ion Manager, at the conclusion of the

Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the
enclosed inspection report.
Within these areas, the inspection consisted of
selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, ar,a observations by the inspectors.
Within the scope of this inspection, no violations or deviations were disclosed.
In accordance with 10 CFK 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure will
be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room unless you notify this of fice, by
telephone, within ten days of the date of this letter and submit written appli-
cation to withhold information contained therein within thirty days of the date
of this letter.
