SUBJECT:
DUTY OFFICER SCHEDULE - NOVEMBER 19, 1980 THROUGH FEBRUARY 24, 1981 Attached is a copy of the new schedule for NRC Duty Officers which has been conciled from a list of names supplied by your offices. If there is any conflict with other consnitments.that you have, please arrange with your supervisor to switch shifts with someone else on the schedule and inform this office of such changes.
If the enclosed duty roster creates a conflict with either business or per-sonal plans, it is the responsibility of the person scheduled or his/her supervisor to arrange for another qualified individual to take the duty.
Exceptions are made for anyone with vacation plans that conflict with the enclosed schedule and whose leave was approved prior to October 6,1980.
Please contact us if this is true, and we will arrange a schedule change.
In the event pf reassignment, short notice for a business trip, sudden emer-gencies or illnesses, or other situations where these arrangements are not possible, your supervisor should be notified 50 that a suitable replacement can be obtained.
There is a change pending'to the current procedure for scheduling duty officer shifts. If approved, this change will re<tuire duty officers who have not stood a watch in the previous six months to reprt one day *arly and work an eight hour shift with his/her predecessor. This would replace the training session currently being given and would provide necessary on-the-job training prior to the assumption of dut*es. When this change is approved, it will go into effect as soon as practicable.
