Dear Mr. Lynch:
This is in response to your letter dated March 16, 1982 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act,16 categories of records pertaining to the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Power Plant.
This confirms information relayed during subsequent telephone conversations between you and Linda Robinson on March 22 and 23, 1982.
Available records pertaining to categories one through four and 13 through 15, as identified on the enclosed appendix, are enclosed.
You will be billed in the amount of $56.10 by our Division of Accounting for the cost of searching for and reproducing these records.
(These chargas includes $5.00 per hour for eight-and-one-half hours of search time and five cents per page for 272 pages, as provided in 10 CFR 9.14.)
The NRC does not collect and maintain records requested under categories five through 12.
The NRC may view records during inspections, or make observations during inspections, which may be noted in inspection reports but not further documented.
Therefore, as a result of the telephone conversations noted above, you are currently attempting to obtain existing requested records from the Public Service Company of Colorado.
With regard to category 16, you were informed that you can obtain a copy of the report. on this subject, "NRC Licensee Assessments", from the Government Printing Office Sales Program, Division of Technical Information and Document Control, U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555, upon prepayment of the $4.00 price.
The NRC maintains a limited collection of records in Local Public Document Rooms (LPDR) near sites of the nuclear power plants regulated by NRC.
These records are available for public inspection and copying.
The LPDR for the Fort St. Vrain plant is housed in the Greeley Public Library, City Complex Building, Greeley, Colorado 80631.
