Subject: Systematic Assessment of Licensee Perfomance (SALP)
This refers to the meeting held at our request at the Beaver Valley Power
Station, Unit 2. Shippingport, Pennsylvania on March 25, 1982, to discuss
the findings of the HRC Systematic Assessment of Licensee Performance (SALP)
of the regulatory perfomance of your licensed facility.
Dun,tg this meeting, attended by you, ntyself, and members of our staffs, we
discussed the results of the Region I SALP assessment, your coments on that
assessment, and the actions that you have taken or plan to take to improve
perfomance. The meeting was beneficial and improved mutual understanding
of your activities and our regulatory program.
Your coments during the meeting and your letter of March 26,1982 have been
considered. We have found that no changes are necessary and therefore have
not supplemented the report.
The overall assessment of your control of construction activities indicates
a high level of management attention and involvement.
