San Diego Local 89 of the Laborer's Union has called a strike and establ 9sh d h M./

picket line across a road leading to a construction location outside the tectfdAO*;,,

f area. The basis for the strike appears to be the use of the licensee's en eesefd f

in certain utility warehouse and office construction.

The strike does not 8

plant operations at Units 1, 2, or 3.

Construction of the offsite E0F, howeve

@i affected because it is served by the road with the established picket line. Since Local 89 does not appear to have a dispute with the contractor building the E0F, the licensee expects work on the EOF to resume within a few hours, when construction of an alternate road to the EOF is completed.

Media interest is not expected. Neither the licensee nor the NRC plans to issue a news release. Region V (San Francisco) received notification of this occurrence from the Resident Inspector at 7:45 a.m. on 4/22/82.

This information is current as of 8:15 a.m. on 4/22/82.
