Virgil C. Surmer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Schedules
Dear Mr. Denton:
South Carolina Electric and Gas Cmpany (SCE&G) acting for itself and as agent for the South Carolina Public Service Authority advises that the expected fuel load readiness date for the Virgil C. Sunmer Nuclear Station has been extended to April 30, 1982.
'Ihis extension can be attributed to several factors. There are issues remaining open with the NRC, sone of which still require review by the NT and others requiring TE&G action. Issues lahich are currently undergoing resolution by SCE&G and the NE include such areas as fire protection, the design verification program required by Mr. D. G. Eisenhut's letter of March 19, 1982, arrl various SER issues undergoiry NT staff review. Also additional work involving both SCE&G and the NRC remains in the resolution of a nunber of items with NE Region II.
