The following identified deficiencies ~ reflect the inadequacies of the submitted Code Data Reports:

i 1)

Not all nozzles (and/or their sizes) listed 2)

Incorrect side of head to pressure (convex or concave) specified i

3)

Incorrect size for instrument taps spe'cified (

4)

Improper and missing references for bolting materials These deficiencies represent discrepancies between the equipment and Code Data Reports supplied by the manufacturers.

Method Planned to Complete Evaluation The deficiencies noted in this report were first identified, via nonconformance reports, by the installing contractor and a subsequent review of 4? Code Data Reports, which involved visual inspection of equipment and examination of design drawings and applicable Code Data Reports. This evaluacion also included discussions between representatives of the Project Organization and the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, for clarification of ASME Section III (NA 8300 and 8400) requirements, and resolution of these deficiencies.

Based on this evaluation, the following steps will be taken:

1)

The acceptance criteria for specifying information on the Code Data Reports will be clarified and defined.

2)

The existing NCRs shall be reviewed against the above clarified criteria to resolve the nonconforming Code Data Reports.

I l

3)

A preliminary evaluation, consisting of equipment inspections and review l

of the corresponding data report against the criteria of item I will be l

conducted. These evaluations will examine a typical piece of each type i

of equipment (e.g., tank, pump, compressors, etc.) f rom each vendor supplying code equipment.

I 4)

Based on identification of deficiencies in items 2 and 3 above, manufacturers will then be ' requested to correct deficiencies and submit revised Code j

Data Reports.
