Gentlemen:

This refers to the corporate management meeting held at our request at

the Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. Corporate Offices on

October 15, 1976, on matters relating to activities authorized by NRC

License Nos. DPR-5, DPR-26, and DPR-G.

The meeting was attended by

Messrs. Cahill, Caldwell, Kessig, and you of the Consolidated Edison

staff and by me and Mr. Davis of my staff.

The subjects discussed during this meeting are included in the Office of

Inspection and Enforcement Meeting Su= ary which is enclosed with this

letter.

It is our view that this meeting was helpful in our understanding of

actions being taken by you to improve your operations and your under-

standing of our concerns related to these ogrations.

We understand

that corrective actions have either been completed or are in progress in

the areas discussed.

Information contained within the enclosed meeting su._ ary has been

discussed with Mr. Kessig by telephone on October 29, 1976.

It was

concluded that this meetir.g su=ary contains no infor=ation which you

consider to be proprietary; thererore, a copy of this letter and its

enclosure are being placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.

No reply to this letter is required; however, if you should have any

questions concerning this meeting, we will be, pleased to discuss them

with you.
