Prior to receipt of the test results at that facility, the individual's site assignment had been completed and he had departed the site.
His employer had not previously been notified of the positive test.
k'hile working at CNS, the individual was under the contractor's approved Access Authorization Program and the Nebraska Public Power District's (NPPD) Fitness for Duty Program.
Details regarding this incident are as follows:

Through that contact, it was discovered that the individual had tested positive for drugs at that facility.

Immediate Actions Taken a)
The approved contractor Access Authorization Program was suspended.
b)
All Access Authorization records for personnel employed by the contractor who had unescorted access to CNS during the-1993 Refueling Outage were reviewed. No additional problems were found.
c)
The individual's work functions while at CNS were reviewed.
l He was assigned as a Level 1 NDE Technician, responsible for marking grids on piping sections to support the erosion /
corrosion program. This assignment had no adverse effect on the safety of the plant.
10.
Corrective Actions Taken or Planned a)
Suitable inquiries for all employees of the contractor who had unescorted access to CNS during the 1993 Refueling Outage are being revalidated. This effort is approximately 70 percent complete. No concerns have been identified, to date.
The projected completion date for these reviews is June 30, 1993.
b)
Current contractor / vendor access authorization programs with the exception of the INPO program will be terminated.
