Mr. Roth January 12,1993 Many of the following comments are minor although they should be addressed or clarified. The only major deficiency is that the alpha floor scan data are not provided for any of the areas surveyed. In addition, the traffic ways and the door ways should have been scanned independent of the random grid block selection process.

P. 8, last para. " dose rate" should be " exposure rate".
2)
P.ll, fist para. The method by which a " statistically significant number of survey points" was determined should be described.
3)
P.ll, last para.
It is stated that measurements were performed "as previously described". A specific reference should be provided.
4)
Building A. The maps provided for the basement on pages SGM9 and SGM10 do not agree. The scale for one of the figures is probably incorrect.
5)
Building A, " Tested Survey Results". The heading of " grid block" for the first column is not appropriate.
6)
Building A, Page RBS3. There is no description for biased point #50.
7)
Building M, Page SGM10. The walls are labeled incorrectly. on the map of the Magnaflux Room.

Warm-Roll Room:
a)
Grid line intersection D8 (page LSS1) does not appear to be located on either the floor or the walls, b)
Grid block A12 (page LSS5)is not part of the floor.
c)
Page LSS6 is mislabeled. It should be RBSI.
9)
Vapor Grit Blast:
a)
On pages LSSI and LSS2, it is not clear what the difference is between grid point F9 and F9A, F8 and F8A, etc.
b)
Grid blocks H9, F9, and F10 (page LSS4) are not part of the floor.

Building E. The dimensions of the Fuel Storage Area on page SGM8 do not agree with that provided on page SGM1.

Appendix T. For all the areas listed in this appendix:

There are no beta / gamma measurements.
b)
There are no measurements for removable alpha or beta activity.
c)
The locations of direct alpha measurements on pages RSSI through RSS31 are neither described in a table nor indicated on the drawings.
d)
Page RSS19 and RSS20 are duplicates.

On pages 'RSS1 through RSS5, for each grid point, there are multiple entries with different values. This should b:: clarified.
