NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

MONTH: February 1993 McGuire Unit 2 began the month of February operating at 100% full power, The unit operated at or near 100% full power until 2/22 at 0047 when the unit was manually tripped from 100% due to rapidly decreasing feedwater flow to 'C'stearri generator, the unit was off-line until 2/221936. During power escalation, the i unit was held at 15% power from 2/22 at 2102 to 2/23 at 1705 due to a bent stem on a feedwater valve.

The unit was held at 41% power from 2/23 at 2029 to 2/24 at 0106 due to feodwater valve problems.  !

During power escalation, the unit started a power decrease to 15% power. The unit was at 15% power from ,

2/24 at 1839 to 2/25 at 0022 due to feedwater valve problems. During power escalation, the unit held at 50% power from 2/25 at 0400 to 0508 for nuclear instrumentation calibrations. The unit reached 100% ,

power at 1610. The unit started a power decrease to 15% power at 2250 on 2/25 The unit was at 15% j power from 2/26 at 0731 to 1957 for feedwater valve repairs. The unit reached 100% power on 2/27 at  ;

0830. The unit operated at or near 100% for the remainder of the month, i
