and to the discussion of our findings held with members of your staff at the
conclusion of the inspection.

Areas examined during this ins)ection are described in the enclosed inspection
i
i
report.
Within these areas, tie inspection consisted of selective
l
examinations of arocedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, and oaservations by the inspectors.
This ins)ection identified several engineering weaknesses associated with the
design clange packages being implemented during recent Unit 2 and 3 outages.
i
The noted weaknesses included inadequacies in engineering review, design-
implementation and design control.
Continued management attention appears to
be warranted in this area.-
No violations or deviations of NRC requirements.were identified within the
scope of this inspection,
