cMcGuire Unit'1 began the month of May shut-down for_its End-0f Cycle
'6' refueling outage. -The unit returned on-line at 1331 on 05/20 after a 22 day outage extension due primarily to additional work on the Steam-Generators and High Pressure Turbine blade rings. The unit was taken q
off line at 0531 on 05/21 for its Turbine overspeed trip test, The unit n

.was placed back on-line at 0636 on.05/21. During the subsequent power cincrease, the. unit was held atf30% power from.1718 to 2252 on 05/21
.f due to Chemistry oxygen concerns. The unit was then. held at 38% power from 0140 to 0911 on 05/22 for. core flux mapping. The: increase was.
next secured at 47% power from 1321 to 2020 on 05/22:for the repair of

'the-'B' Main Feedwater Pump. The unit-was next heldlat-52% power from 0235 to 0313fon 05/23 for. Nuclear Instrumentation calibration. The next-i hold, at.78% power, was conducted from 1717 on 05/23 to 0702 on 05/24

for core flux mapping. The unit was then held-at 83% power from 1250 to 1700 on 05/24:for Reactor Group thermal output data gathering. The t
unit reached 100% full power at 2130 on-05/24..At 0945 on 05/26, the 1
'High Pressure Turbine developed a steam leak,:and a load reduction was commenced.:lThe reduction:was secured at 70% power from 1350 to 1830 on s
05/26. :A't 1830 on_05/26, the unitLcommenced a l'ond reduction to 38%-

' power for leak repair of the;High Pressure-Turbine. The unit reached l
38% power at 2142 on 05/26. A load increase was begun at 0445 on.
