This refers to the Nuclear Regulatory Comission (NRC) inspection conducted

by P. J. Fillion on April 23-27, 1990.
The inspection. included a review of-
activities authorized for your Crystal River facility.
At the conclusion of
.
the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff
j
identified in the enclosed Inspection Report.-
Areas examined during the inspection a'e ident1/ied in the report.
Within
these areas, the-inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

.and- representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of-
i
. activities.in progress.
The-inspection'did not reveal violations of NRC requirements. However, certain
activities having safety significance appeared to deviate from commitments to
the.NRC.
The deviation and elements to be included .in'your response are
described in-the enclosed-Notice of Deviation.
In?accordance with 10 CFR 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and its' enclosures
will be(placed in the NRC Public Document Room.'
