.MCGUIRE-NUCLEAR STATIONS, UNITS 1 AND 2 i
The NRC has recently received a copy-of a complaint filed by Duke Power. Company in the U.S.LDistrict Court for the District of South Carolina concerning steam generators'. supplied by Westinghouse ~for use in the Catawba and McGuire Nuclear Stations, Units ILand 2.
The complaint alleges, in part, that the steam genera.
'i tors supplied by Westinghouse were defective in-design,: workmanship, and materials.
At this time, the.NRC has no position on the merits of the complaint.
- However, we wish to remind you of your responsibilities under 10 CFR Part 21 and Parts.50.72 and 50.73 for the review, evaluation, and reporting to NRC of defects in safety-related equipment, materials, and services which may be identified by you.at any time, including during.the review and discovery process resulting _
