This refers to the routine physical security inspection conducted by
Mr. T. W. Dexter of this office on February 26 - March 3,1990, of-activities
at Nine Mile Point Units 1 and 2, authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-63 and
NrF-69 and to the discussions of ove findings held by iir. Dexter with
Mr. D. O'Hara and others at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. Within these areas, the
inspection contisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative
records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspector. Within
the scope of this inspection, no violations were observed.
Portions of the enclosed inspection report contain details of your security
program that have been determined. to be exempt from public disclosure in
accordance with 10 CFR 73.21 (Safeguards Information). Therefore, those
portions will not be placed in the NRC Public Document Room and will receive

limited distribution. This letter and the remainder of the inspection report
