EPIP 100-C1 STATION DIRECTOR Revision 2 (Checklist of Initial GSEP Responsibilities)
March 1982 NOTE This checklist is provided solely for the convenience of the Station Director.
It is not necessary to follow this checklist step by step.
Its completion is not required and its use is determined by the Station Director.
I.
Classify GSEP Condition - Refer to Classification of GSEP Conditions (EPIP 200-TI).

If the condition is not a GSEP, review Operating Order or Sections B.2, 8.3 or B.4 of EPIP 300-1 for other notifications.
II. Use pre-printed NARS Form or the Nuclear Accident Report System Fonn (EPIP 300-Cl) to ensure notifications contain all essential and required infonnation. Refer to Table I of EPIP 300-1 for Recommended Off-Site Protective Actions for gaseous plume ex-posure.
- III. Verify notifications of or notify applicable personnel as listed below in accordance with EPIP Notifications Phone List.

O i-c e "ia est ruei aeProcessias eiaat-IV. Samples and surveys during Post Accident Conditions should be performed in accordance with the following prioritized guidelines:
a.
Perform Area Surveys and collect Air Surveys in the Centrol Room, Assembly Areas, TSC and OSC if a gaseous release is occurring or if radiation levels in Primary Containment are greater than the unusual event classi-fication.
b.
Collect air or liquid samples as close as possible to the point of any effluent release that is occurring as a result of the event.
c.
Collect Reactor Water, Torus Water, Drywell Air and Sump Water samples as necessary to accommodate safe operation of the plant, d.
Perfonn local area surveys and collect air samples as appropriate to accomplish required maintenance activities.
e.
In the absence of the Environs Director and once personnel become available, perfonn offsite surveys and collect offsite air and water samples.

NOTE Numbers needed are for the Site and General Emergency. Refer to Table II of EPIP 300-1 to detennine requirements for the Unusual Event or Alert categories.

Note the name of the person in charge at the Opera-tional Support Center (OSC) and the time it is acti va ted.
1.
Name of person in charge.

Time activated.
NOTE TSC and OSC must be activated within 60 minutes for Site Energency and General Emergency.
IX. Direct the Administrative Director and Security Director to establish control of access to the TSC.
X.
Assess the need for the Security Director to control access to roads entering the plant property.
XI. Assess the need for assistance from the Department of Energy, Chicago Operations Office (contact will normally be made by CCC or EOF).

XII. Note additional support requested from the Corporate Command Center Director or the Recovery Manager.
XIII. Note any direction of major consequence or concern received from the Corporate Command Center Director or the Recovery Manager.
XIV. Record subsequent GSEP related activities on Record of GSEP Activities (EPIP 100-C10).
