J. P. Jaudon and R. T. Redano of our staff during the period February 1-5, 1982, of activities authorized by NRC Facility Operating Licensu DPR-51 and NPR-6 for Arkansas Nuclear One, Units 1'and 2, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. J. P. O'Hanlon and other members of your staff on February 5,1982. t . Areas examined during the inspection and our findings are discussed in the enclosed inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of - . selective examination of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the inspectors. During this inspection, it was' found that certain of your activities wem not conducted in full compliance with NRC requirements. Consequently, you are required to respond to this matter, in writing, in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.201 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice " Part 2, i Title 10. Code of Federal Regulations. Your response should be based on the specifics contained in the Notice of Violation enclosed with this letter as Appendix A. [ During the inspection, it was also found that certain of your activities , appeared to deviate from one of your written commitments to the Comunission. ' This item and reference to the specific commitment are listed in the Notice , of Deviation, enclosed herewith as Appendix B. In response to this item, please submit to this office, within 30 days of the date of this letter, a written statement or explanation in reply including the date when your corrective action was or will'be completed. One new unresolved item is discussed in paragraph 4 of the enclosed mport.
