Braidwood Station Units 1 and 2 50.55(e) Deficiency Report 82-01 NRC Docket Nos. 50-456 and 50-457
Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to provide a preliminary report on an apparent reportable deficiency in certain HVAC supports at Braidwood which were produced by the Pullman Company.
An observed deficiency in the weld deposition was first reported by telephone on February ll, 1982, to Mr.
D. Hayes o f your o f fice.
A second call on February 18 provided Information to Mr. Hayes regarding a similar but separate deficiency in Pullman duct stiffeners.
Pullman's analyFis o f the deficiencies has been received and is being reviewed by the duct designer, Sargent and Lundy.
The results of these analyses will be supplied in a final report to Region III by March 28, 1982.
