Review of Power Ascension / Inspection Progran Utilizing Westinghouse nodel D Steam Generator (McGuire nuclear Station, Unit 1) by letters dated Feuruary 12 anc February 18, 1982, you notitied us of your change in plans for the operation of McGuire that would extend operation of unit 1 (at 50% power) froa February 15 to Fearuary 26, 1982. This is an extension of cleven days of operation ucyond that -initially contemplated.
Our letter to you caten January 13,19o2, surwarizes the results of our review of your planned program and operation.

A suruary of results of our review is presentea in tne enclosure. Prior to restart of Unit I we require that you provide a detailed report descrioing the basis for your proposed restart and future operation or unit 1.
This report should oc provided well in advance of your proposed restart to allow acequate tima tur staff review.
