Docket No. 50-219 Exemption Request from 10 CFR 50.48.C(5)
Dear Sir:
By letter dated March 20, 1981, we requested a delay in meeting the requirements of 10 CFR 50.48.C(5).
Re letter stated that we could not provide our design description f or our Dedicated Shutdown Systems until Janua ry 17, 1982.
His request was based upon work to be performed during our refueling outage which was originally scheduled to begin in hovember 1981.
As discussed with you in our meeting of December 11, 1981 and further documented in our letter of December 24, 1981 to you, our outage is tentatively planned for mid-1982.
In order to provide the inf ormation required by 50.48.C.5, we will require a significant amount of inplant work to trace cable runs.
Because of the complexity of the work involved and the recent changes to our outage schedule, we were unable to supply the required information by January 17, 1982.
Our plans and schedules for meeting the remote shutdown requirements of 10 CFR 50.48 are currently ander internal review and we will notify you by April 16, 1982 of our final position.
