This is in response to ynur letter of January 11, 1982 regarding the inplementation of 10 CFR 73.21.
Conceming hardware availability, please note that the Rule does not require the purchase of protected telecomunication circuits or infor-mation disposal equipment, and only requims the use of GSA approved -
security containers in uncontmlled areas such as might be found at construction sites.
In regard to the implementation schedule, you are hereby granted a provided that (i)g the requirements of Sections 73.21(d)(2) and (e) delay in completin all Safeguards Infomation is secured under lock and key when not in use (ii) measures are taken to indicate the presence of protected information, for example, bulk marking of filing cabinets or storage containers, and (iii) when in use, documents con-taining) Safeguards Infomation are marked in accordance with Section 73.21(e.
