Section I - Description of Modification The proposed change to the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant (JAFNPP) Operating License, Appendix A (Tbchnical Specifications) revises the High Pressure Coolant Injection (HPCI) turbine steam line high flow isolation setpoint. This setpoint is given in Table 3.2-2 of the Technical Specifications (page 70b).
Section' II - Purpose of the Modification The proposed change revises the HPCI turbine line high flow isolation setpoint in the downward, conservative direction as a result of a reanalysis based on actual steam flow data.
Section III - Impact of the Change This change assures that the isolation setpoint conforms to the Bases as stated in the Technical Specification.
Section IV - Implementation of the Modification The modification as proposed will not impact the Fire Protection or ALARA Programs at JAFNPP.
Section V - Conclusion The incorporation of this modifications: a) will not change the probability nor the consequences of an accident or malfunction of equipment important to safety as previously evaluated in the Safety Analysis Report; b) will not increase the possibility for an accident or malfunction of a different type than any evaluated previously in the Safety Analysis Report; and c) will not reduce the margin of safety as defined in the basis for any Technical Specification;' and d) does not constitute an unreviewed safety s
quewtion.
