'IMI Its II.E.3.1
Dear Mr. Denton:
In our efforts to assist the NRC Office of Inspection and Enforement in their verification of NUREG-0737 its II.E.3.1, Emergency Power for Pressurizer Heaters, South Carolina Electric and Gas Ca pany has discovered an error in the description for pressurizer heater ratings and source of pwer on pge 22-84 of the SER. A correct description is as follows:
The facility design Irovides two pressurizer backup heater groups powered from 1E p wer. The pressurizer heaters receive power via a 7200V breaker on each ESF Bus IDA and 1DB. Each 7200V breaker feeds a distribution panel containing a 7200V/480V transformer, one comon molded case breaker, one group of heaters frm 1DA containing 10 circuits aM one from 1DB containing 9 circuits. Each circuit is ratal at 53.7 kilowatts giving a capacity of 537KW frm 1DA and 483KW from 1DB. Each bus,1DA and 1DB, is powered frm a separate diesel generator upon loss of offsite pwer.
In further research on the above its, an error was found in FSAR Chapter 8.3.
Table 8.3-3 entitled Connected Automatic and Manual Loading and Unloading of the Diesel Generator, Channel B should read pressurizer HTR BU Group 2 and the notor data section load column should read 483 KW as shown on the marked-up copy attached. This correction will be made in the next amendment.
We request this its be corrected in the next supplenent to the SER.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
Very truly yours, f/
/
