South Carolina Electric and Gas Company, acting for itself and as agent for South Carolina Public Service Authority, herewith files forty (40) copies of Revision 8 to the Fire Protection Evaluation-Fire Hazard Analysis Report for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station.
This Revision corrects several discrepancies and typographical errors which have been noted during and subsequent to an NRC 16E Fire Protection Inspection which occurred in January,1992. It was our intent in Revision 7 to delete all reference to HVAC fire detection devices, as discussed in our July 16, 1981 letter to Mr. Denton; however, several such references were overlooked previously and are Caleted in Revision 8.
Several drawings issued in Revision 7 were of poor quality print and therefore, replacement pages are inc:.eded in Revision 8.
