This transmits inspection findings by Mr. W. H. Bateman at the Hope Creek Generat-
ing Station, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey. Those findings were based on document
reviews, interviews, and observation of activities, and have been discussed with
Mr. A. Barnabei of your staff.
Apparent Violations of NRC requirements are cited in Appendix A and categorized
by level in accordance with Federal Register Notice 45FR66754 (October 7,1980).
A reply is required and should be prepared in accordance with Appendix A.
It is
exempt from the Office of Management and Budget's clearance procedures under the
Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511.
With respect to Appendix A, we note that you have corrected Item B and we have
reviewed your corrective action. Therefore, you need not address yourself to
this matter in your response.
This transmittal will be made public unless you contact us and apply in writing
for withholding within 10 and 30 days, respectively, of the date of this letter.
Such application must be consistent with 10 CFR 2.790(b)(1).
