Flexible hose shall be NPI stamped and meet the requirements of ASME B&PV Code Case N-192.
The flexible hose is to have annular convolutions and be covered with braid. The pressure containing welded or seamless boundaryconsistsofsingle-plyb3(materialtomeet tubing or inconel 625, ASME SB-the requirements of SB-W4 as modified by ASME Code Case N-188. Pressure test may be performed at top assembly, reference ND-6114), or SB-M4.
The braided wire covering the convoluted metal bellows shall be stainless and heat resisting steel wire in accordance with ASTM A 580-75 of material types listed in Tables I-7.0 and I-8.0 of ASME SA-479 All wire strands shall be welded to the welding collars and visually examined.

Diaplacements are applied to one end connection along three orthogonal axes simultaneously.. The assembly is filled with fluid and pressurized to the operating pressure.
Displacement due to themal expansion. The hose assemblies shall be capable of the following themal expansion movements:
X axis = -0.444 inch Y axis = +2.886 inches Z axis = -2.128 inches Mechanically induced vibration. Sine wave input corresponding to 0.5 g acceleration in each direction at frequencies of 10, 15, 30, and 60 Hz.
Evaluate for input at most critical frequency for 40 years of continuous service.
Seismic criteria. Seismic test criteria shall be as delineated in Metal Bellows Corporation's qualification test procedure @'FT3989, paragraph 4.6.
Contractor shall furnish data with respect to the susceptibility of the flexible instrumentation hose assemblies to damage by inadvertent mishandling (e.g., crushing, kinking, etc.) and also provide any specialhandlinginstruction/protectionmethodshe feels are required to prevent such damage.

QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR ASME SECTION III COMPONENTS (EXCLUDING PUMPS, VALVES, AND AUTOMATIC BACKWASH STRAINERS), COMPONENT SUPPORTS, AND PIPING SUBASSDtBLIES 1.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM - GENERAL REQUIRD(ENTS The Contractor (or Bidder) shall maintain an established written description of his system for the control of quality of work for materials, design, f abrication, ermuination, testing, inspection, and certification which will assure that all components, component supports, and piping subassemblies to be furnished under this contract (or Invitation to F:.d) shall meet the requirements of this specification, including the referenced codes and standards. His quality assurance program shall be in accordance with ASME Section III.
His quality marrrance manual shall be submitted with his bid to TVA for review and oneptance. 5.2 The Bidder shall comply with the following:
5.2.1 For those activities required to meet ANSI N45.2-1971 and the standards referenced in section 2.0 of the specification, the bidder's quality assurance manual shall cover the specified areas. This information shall become a part of the contract. TVA reserves the right to reject any bid that does not comply with this requirement.
5.2.2 For those items required to meet ASME Section III, the Bidder shall submit, with his bid, a copy of the Manufacturer's Certificate of Authorization in addition to his quality assurance manual. This information shall become a part of the contract. TVA reserves the right to reject any bid that does not comply with this requirement.
5.2.3 In lieu of the above submittals, the Bidder may identify in his bid a previous TVA contract in which the supplier's, Manufacturer's, or Bidder's certificate and quality assurance manual were submitted, and he shall submit with his bid a description of any major changes made to the quality assurance program since the above approval.
If a Knoxville office of TVA has been assigned a controlled copy of a quality assurance manual or current copy of the Bidder's or Manu-facturer's Certificate of Authorization, reference shall be made to the control number, name of holder, and latest revision in effect, in which case Bidder need not submit another copy.
5.3 Appropriate documentation requirements shall be included in all subtier procurement documents.
5.4 All records submitted to TVA must be clearly identifiable as to the TVA project, contract number, unit number, component type, and component identification number.
