Dear Mr. Clark:
The Omaha Public Power District's letter dated December 28, 1981 provided a status update on the implementation of tasks at the Fort Calhoun Station required by NUREG-0737, " Clarification of TMI Action Plan Requirements." Specifically, Enclosure 1 to the subject letter stated that the implementation of Item II.B.2 of NUREG-0737, regarding j
piant shielding modifications, is presently in progress and will not be completed until April 1,1982 for the reasons stated. This letter 1
transmits further information regarding the plant shielding modifi-cations.
Included as part of the plant shielding modification project is the installation of additional control room shielding. The control room shielding modification project was addressed in the District's letter dated August 7,1981, as part of the implementation of NUREG-0737, Item III.D.3.4, " Control Room Habitability." The August 7, 1981 letter stated that the control room shielding modifications would be completed by January 1, 1982. Since the control room shielding modification is one element of the plant shielding project, the expected completion date is April 1, 1982.
