Dear Mr. Seyfrit:
In tesponse to a request by Mr. R. Caldwell on October 23, 1981, made during an exit interview concerning a Fort Calboun Station physical security inspection, the Omaha Public Power District attaches an address list of all contractors and vendors having access to the Fort Calhoun Station.
Pursuant to Mr. Caldwell's statements at the exit interview, it is the District's understanding that an IE Bulletin may be issued in the near future formally requesting the submittal of the attached contractor /
vendor information from all commercial operating reactor facilities.
However, it is the District's understanding that at this time this information has been requested only for contractors / vendors granted access to Region IV commercial nuclear power facilities, who will then receive letters from your office re-emphasizing contractor / vendor responsibilities regarding personnel security re riews. The District appreciates Region IV's assistance in informing contractors /vandors of their security responsibilities when performing work for nuclear power plant licensecs.
The District is interested in the results of this effort regionally and also nationally if the Commission decides to imple=cnt this program in all compliance regions.
