AFFIDAVIT OF GRETA G. HARKf4ESS Commonwealth of Pennsylvania County of Allegheny Greta G. Harkness being duly sworn according to Law deposes and says; (1)

I am an Engineer in Mechanical and Fluid Systems Evaluation, fluclear Safety Department, for the fluclear Technology Division, Westinghouse Power Systems Company, Westinghouse Electric Corporation (" Westinghouse"),

and as such I am authorized to execute this Affidavit. A statement of my professional qualifications is attached.

(2) With regard to the reactor coolant system pressure boundary for Diablo Canyon Power Plant, the pressurizer heater design is such that the pressure boundary of the pressurizer is not jeopardized by penetrations in the pressure vessel for the electrical connections to the heaters.

Further the affiant sayeth not.

I am employed l

by Westinghouse Electric Corporation as an Engineer in Mechanical and Fluid Systems Evaluation within the Nuclear Safety Department of the Nuclear Technology Division.

I am responsible for the safety evaluation of various fluid systems and their components including the pressurizer.

I attended Indiana University in Bloomington in 1963 and Chatham College in Pittsburgh from 1964 to 1967 receiving a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry.

I attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh from 1972 to 1973, and received a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning.

Prior to joining the Water Reactor Divisions, I held professional positions at Westinghouse Research and Development Laboratories and Alcoa.

In 1977 I joined the Water Reactor Divisions.
